This redeye photo is a .jpg, i think this one looks possibly the best.

This one is a .png, it also looks pretty good

This last on is a .gif, and I think this one is definitely the worst, it looks granular and blotchy

I actually used TextEdit for this which is an application that comes standard on Macs, and is much simpler and easier to use than anything else I researched.

Assignment 2-2: My GIMP Photo

Hey guys, below is a picture of me (on the left) and my friend Austin in Hawaii! He is a United States Marine and is stationed there for 4 years, so my parents and I flew out and (after an emotional bro-hug) had a great few days and hopefully relieved some of his home sickness! My name is written in pencil (Demetri) and paint brush (Leris), and then I smudged some of Austin's pants. Hope you guys like it! And if you were wondering, I guess we never look at the same camera ;)

Assignment 2-1: What is Immersive Education?

I just finished Professor Walsh's youtube video on iED. Here are some cool parts!

In this part of the video, students at a school with a poverty rate over 90% (and could not afford field trips) were taken on a virtual field trip to an aquarium, I thought this was great.

This next part shows a student explaining what she learned about an animal through a virtual world, as we can see this animal is shown on the screen behind her! This was also great, because students can learn about animals they would have to pay to visit a zoo to see, as well as getting very "up close" to potentially dangerous animals (some more so than a possum).

This last part I took a screenshot of was an overview of the different groups that are made up in iED, and is depicted from the slide on the screen!

Here's my experiments trying to mess around with the most elaborate version of Microsoft "paint" from Windows '98 I've ever seen.

Here's my best shot at supporting Mayweather if this fight with Pacquiao finally happens in May!

And this..... this is just a green pepper simply because this software has a green pepper image available to insert and that is wonderfully random.
